I do not position myself as someone who has “figured life out,” but as a grounded example of what becomes possible when men bring structure, honesty, and accountability into spaces built for real connection.
Joshua Heater brings lived experience and structured accountability to the individual and group supportive counseling process. After building a successful career in hospitality, he discovered professional achievement did not resolve internal distress. Like many men, he coped through distraction and avoidance rather than healing. Following profound personal losses and nearly five years of sobriety, Joshua began applying the discipline and accountability that once drove his career to his mental health and personal life. He is completing his Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan.
